Other Pride Month Activities
We couldn’t do this weekend without the support of the venues that are patronized and sponsorships from the community to put the event on. Whether it is you yourself or you and a group of friends, we need sponsors for this weekend of events. Please check out our sponsorship levels now.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to help make our upcoming events a success. Each of our gatherings has its own unique set of volunteer needs, ranging from hospitality and logistics like setup and cleanup to social media and photography support. Whether you are a behind-the-scenes organizer or a creative storyteller, we have a place for you.
With the current attacks from this administration on the Trans community and our overall community, we are looking for supportive individuals interested in providing a comforting hug to those who may not receive that on a daily basis.
In these challenging times, something as simple as a hug can be a radical act of kindness. It might be exactly what someone needs to keep their spirits ready for the ongoing challenges facing us in the world. We want to ensure that every member of our community, young and old, knows they are valued, seen and protected here in a safe space.
How You Can Help
If you are ready to lend a hand or a hug, please consider signing up for one of the following roles:
- Event Support: Help us with the heavy lifting of setup and cleanup.
- Hospitality: Ensure our guests feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the day.
- Creative Team: Capture the magic through photography or help us spread the word via social media.
- Community Care: Join our group of volunteers dedicated to offering supportive hugs and a compassionate presence.

Why We Celebrate
Brazos Valley Pride Weekend is the heartbeat of our community’s visibility. We host this weekend to create a dedicated, joyful space where the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies can come together in safety and celebration. More than just a party, this weekend is a vital social sanctuary that fosters belonging and reminds every resident of the Brazos Valley, from students to long-term residents, that they have a home here.
A Growing Tradition
We are proud to have hosted Pride celebrations in the Brazos Valley for over a decade. What began as a small gathering has evolved into a highly anticipated multi-day tradition. The longevity of this weekend is a testament to the resilience of our community and the unwavering support of the local businesses and advocates who stand with us year after year.
What to Expect: Our Signature Events
While we update our schedule every year to keep the energy fresh, Brazos Valley Pride Weekend may feature these fan-favorite staples:
- The Kickoff Party: We start the weekend strong with our official launch event! It’s the perfect time to grab your Pride gear, meet the organizers and set the tone for the festivities ahead.
- The Pride Bar Crawl & After Party: A high-energy tour of our favorite LGBTQIA+-affirming spots. Whether you’re joining the crawl or heading straight to the After Party, expect great music and a packed dance floor. (Please note this event will not be part of the 2026 lineup.)
- The Pride Pool Party: The ultimate way to beat the Texas heat. This is a relaxed, sun-soaked social gathering where our community can swim and celebrate in a supportive and body-positive environment.
- The Drag Brunch: Our signature weekend finale. This high-demand event pairs a delicious brunch with powerhouse performances from local and visiting drag royalty.
Celebrating with a Purpose
Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised during Pride Weekend goes directly back into the Pride Community Center. These events serve as our primary engine for funding year-round advocacy, peer support groups and educational resources. When you celebrate with us, you are actively investing in the continued growth of an inclusive culture in the Brazos Valley.
Community Partnerships & Pop-Ups
We frequently collaborate with local partners to expand the reach of Pride. In past years, these have included Youth Outings for families, Movie Showings at the historic Queen Theatre and Vendor Markets featuring inclusive small businesses like Hyperbole Bookstore.

This year the Texas Legislature has slammed our community hard, specifically our transgender siblings. On top of the national rhetoric, we are all feeling hopeless, attacked, and burned out. The way forward is together. Help detox the atmosphere make being a queer Texan something to be proud of. Donate for this cause to help us change the paradigm by all of us just being us
Putting on Pride Weekend events in the Brazos Valley requires a team of highly dedicated planners, partners who give of their space for us to celebrate within, and funds to bring entertainment and help support the events themselves. Give today to support Brazos Valley Pride Weekend 2025
